Saltwater Soft Plastic Lures for Florida Inshore Fishing

Saltwater fishing demands tackle that can handle aggressive strikes, sharp teeth, and challenging conditions. Whether you’re targeting redfish along oyster bars, snook around mangrove shorelines, or speckled trout across grass flats, having the right soft plastic can make a difference.

Baitlicious saltwater soft plastic lures are made in Florida using a firmer, more durable plastisol formulation designed for demanding inshore fishing applications. Combined with vibrant saltwater colors and distinctive bait profiles, these lures offer anglers a growing selection of shrimp imitations, swimbaits, and other soft plastic presentations.

Our saltwater collection includes Happy Claws, two shrimp designs, Sledgehammer swimbaits in two sizes, and the Swagger Shad swimbait.

Happy Claws – Compact Soft Plastic Crab-Style Bait

The Baitlicious Happy Claws brings a compact crustacean-style profile to our saltwater collection.

Its distinctive shape makes it an option for anglers looking to imitate small crabs and other crustacean forage commonly encountered in coastal waters.

Happy Claws can be paired with appropriately sized terminal tackle for presentations around oyster bars, sandy bottom transitions, and other inshore feeding areas.

For anglers targeting redfish and other crustacean-feeding species, a compact crab-style soft plastic offers a useful alternative to traditional shrimp and baitfish imitations.

Salt Kicker – 4-Inch Soft Plastic Shrimp

Shrimp are an important food source for many Florida inshore gamefish, making shrimp-style soft plastics a valuable addition to an angler’s tackle box.

The Baitlicious Salt Kicker is a 4-inch soft plastic shrimp designed for anglers targeting species such as redfish, snook, and speckled trout.

Its larger profile provides an option for fishing around mangrove edges, grass flats, oyster bars, and deeper channels.

Salt Kicker can be presented with compatible jigheads or other suitable rigging methods, allowing anglers to adjust depth and presentation for different fishing conditions.

Shorty Shrimp – 3-Inch Soft Plastic Shrimp

Sometimes a smaller presentation is exactly what inshore fish are looking for.

The Baitlicious Shorty Shrimp is a 3-inch soft plastic shrimp designed for anglers targeting redfish, speckled trout, snook, and other saltwater species.

Its compact shrimp profile offers an alternative to the larger 4-inch Salt Kicker when fish are feeding on smaller forage or when a more subtle presentation is needed.

Made with our durable saltwater plastisol formulation and available in vibrant saltwater colors, Shorty Shrimp is a versatile addition to your inshore tackle collection.

Fish it on an appropriately sized jighead around grass flats, oyster bars, mangrove shorelines, and tidal creeks.

Sledgehammer Saltwater Swimbaits

Available in 3.75-inch and 4.75-inch sizes, the Baitlicious Sledgehammer swimbaits offer two baitfish-style profiles for inshore anglers.

Soft plastic swimbaits are versatile choices when targeting predators feeding on minnows, mullet, pilchards, and other small baitfish.

The 3.75-inch Sledgehammer provides a smaller presentation, while the 4.75-inch version offers a larger profile for anglers looking to imitate more substantial forage.

These baits can be paired with appropriately sized jigheads or weighted hooks for swimming presentations around grass flats, mangrove shorelines, and channel edges.

Swagger Shad – 4.5-Inch Saltwater Swimbait

The Baitlicious Swagger Shad is a 4.5-inch soft plastic swimbait offering another baitfish-inspired presentation for inshore fishing.

Its profile makes it a useful option for anglers targeting redfish, snook, and speckled trout when fish are actively pursuing baitfish.

Fish it along grass lines, around shoreline structure, or through open-water feeding areas using rigging appropriate for the conditions.

With vibrant saltwater color options and a durable soft plastic formulation, Swagger Shad expands the choices available to anglers looking for a versatile swimming bait.

Tougher Soft Plastics for Demanding Saltwater Conditions

One of the defining features of our Baitlicious saltwater collection is the material used to produce these lures.

We use a firmer, more durable durometer plastisol formulation intended to better withstand the demanding conditions of inshore fishing.

Saltwater predators can be hard on soft plastic baits, particularly when repeated strikes and sharp teeth are involved. A tougher formulation can help improve resistance to tearing and damage compared with softer formulations, although no soft plastic is indestructible.

We also offer vibrant saltwater color combinations designed to give anglers a variety of choices for different water conditions and fishing presentations.

Choosing the Right Saltwater Soft Plastic

Different inshore fishing situations call for different bait profiles.

Shrimp Imitations

Shrimp-style soft plastics are useful when targeting fish feeding around grass flats, oyster bars, tidal creeks, and mangrove shorelines.

Crab-Style Baits

Compact crustacean profiles such as Happy Claws are worth considering when fishing for redfish and other species that feed on crabs and bottom-oriented forage.

Soft Plastic Swimbaits

Baitfish-style swimbaits offer moving presentations for anglers targeting snook, speckled trout, redfish, and other inshore predators.

Choosing the right size, color, rigging, and retrieve can help anglers adjust to changes in water clarity, current, available forage, and fish activity.
